Classically Shaker

Posted by Hayley Gilbert Tuesday, 12th December 2017

Kitchen trends may come and go but there’s one style that’s always in fashion and that’s the Classically Shaker look. Elegant and timeless, the starting point for any design is a simple, in-frame panelled cabinet door. Keep it traditional with a soft cream, off-white or neutral painted colour or update the feel with a charcoal or grey finish and use nickel cup handles or a brushed bronze knob. The main centrepiece is usually a standout statement range cooker and the great thing about choosing Rangemaster is that there are so many models to select from in a variety of colours as well as different fuel types and widths to suit every space.

Christmas Day made easy, with your Rangemaster range cooker

Posted by Alexandra Dibble Tuesday, 28th November 2017

If I was only allowed to pick one day out of the three hundred and sixty five days in a year that I grateful for being a Rangemaster Range Cooker Owner that would definitely have to be Christmas Day. I have quite a large family and being the only foodie in the family, I somehow manage every year to get the job of Christmas lunch. So this year with fifteen for Christmas dinner, yeah that’s right fifteen hunger and often slightly merry mouths to feed, I truly am grateful for my Rangemaster Range Cooker. The Rangemaster Ovens have the largest oven capacities on the market, the main multifunction oven has a 73 litre capacity and the tall ovens in the 90cm and 100cm appliances have a 67 litre and 82 litre capacity respectively, making feeding a large number of people just that little bit easier.

Friendly Pumpkin Cornbread

Posted by Gill Bland Monday, 30th October 2017

The clocks have gone back and the dark nights are here. Twinkly street lights and crunchy leaves fill the walk home from work and even school. Whether you’re out pounding the pavements with the kids on a chilly October evening or you’re just coming home after a long day, a big hunk of this Friendly Pumpkin Cornbread with some soup, chilli or any other warming stew will go down a treat, and it’s not tricky at all to make (see what I did there?). Despite cutting the amount of sugar from the original recipe by 3/4 it’s still quite sweet, but this works really well with savoury dishes and even better if you toast it with a mature/ blue cheese and some pesto for that oozy green-gooey look!

SIMPLY MODERN

Posted by Hayley Gilbert Wednesday, 18th October 2017

We’re going Simply Modern this month, with contemporary kitchens and the sleek, on-trend appliances and accessories to go with them. Modern schemes are a really flexible style solution for all kinds of property, whether it’s a glass box kitchen extension on the back of a Victorian terrace or a compact apartment in the heart of the city. Simple slab doors with a recessed handle offer a sleek, seamless feel which can then be topped off with a worktop either in a complementary neutral shade or something a little more daring to add a touch of drama. The latest quartz worksurfaces for instance come in all sorts of finishes including concrete effects for an on-trend industrial look. Natural timber will also suit but it does need regular oiling to keep its organic beauty looking its best. Laminate is another option and is ideal for those working to a budget.

Coastal retreat

Posted by Hayley Gilbert Monday, 3rd July 2017

Rangemaster has a cooker for every style, so no matter whether you favour the industrial look, Scandi living or a touch of country farmhouse chic, there’s an appliance so suit. You can download or order the latest brochure for free – just click on the link to view the collections, moodboards and suggested products for yourself. One of my favourites, especially at this time of year, is Coastal Retreat. I dream of having a vacation in the Hamptons one summer so turning my kitchen into a New England haven would be the next best thing! Think fresh whites and sea blue shades complementing shabby chic furniture, stripped timber floorboards and tongue-and-groove panelling on the walls. Throw in some colourful enamelled cookware, glossy brick tiles and factory lighting and you’re good to go.

Gin & Tonic Cupcakes

Posted by Gill Bland Monday, 5th June 2017

Well, it looks like summer is just starting to think about appearing and what great timing, for Saturday the 10th June is World Gin Day and there’s nothing that makes a gin and tonic taste better then a long balmy summer evening.

Hints and tips on how to clean your Rangemaster

Posted by Alexandra Dibble Monday, 10th April 2017

With spring upon us, it’s time to start about spring cleaning your oven ready for all the BBQ (I know I’m being a little optimistic here) and Easter visitors. Cleaning my oven is not one of my favourite jobs I have to say, however with most range cookers being the focal point of the kitchen, spending that little bit of time, properly cleaning your Rangemaster will really prove worthwhile, and completely make your kitchen sparkle. As well as being more hygienic, better for your healthy and prevent the smell of burnt and smoke of burnt on fatty food and grease.

Easy Batch-Bake Biscuits

Posted by Gill Bland Monday, 20th March 2017

The Rangemaster tall side oven is a wonderful thing - the slight variation in heat from top to bottom is a boon, allowing you to crisp up the roasties at the top while the apple crumble bubbles away below.  It’s great for cooking an entire meal but it really comes into its own when you want to batch cook things. Trays full of roasted vegetables, jacket potatoes to feed an army, lasagnes and all sorts of good, wholesome food can be racked up to eat now or to freeze and store later. Yes, all sorts of good, wholesome food…. or cookies. You can whip up an awful lot of cookies in a very short space of time with the tall oven. Even better, you can pre make the dough in all sorts of different flavours and have it stored in the freezer so that you can bring out mounds of freshly baked biscuits in the time it takes for the oven to heat + 10minutes.

Chocolate Tart with Meringue Kisses

Posted by Gill Bland Monday, 13th February 2017

Ah valentine’s day, an excuse for all things chocolate, pink and heart shaped. This month I’m making the most of the multifunction oven to make a chocolate tart. The base is wholemeal which gives it a great al-dente chew to it and ensure that it is not too sweet, which in turn sets off the rich chocolate centre and sugary meringues.
