Classically Shaker

Posted by Hayley Gilbert Tuesday, 12th December 2017

Kitchen trends may come and go but there’s one style that’s always in fashion and that’s the Classically Shaker look. Elegant and timeless, the starting point for any design is a simple, in-frame panelled cabinet door. Keep it traditional with a soft cream, off-white or neutral painted colour or update the feel with a charcoal or grey finish and use nickel cup handles or a brushed bronze knob. The main centrepiece is usually a standout statement range cooker and the great thing about choosing Rangemaster is that there are so many models to select from in a variety of colours as well as different fuel types and widths to suit every space.

SIMPLY MODERN

Posted by Hayley Gilbert Wednesday, 18th October 2017

We’re going Simply Modern this month, with contemporary kitchens and the sleek, on-trend appliances and accessories to go with them. Modern schemes are a really flexible style solution for all kinds of property, whether it’s a glass box kitchen extension on the back of a Victorian terrace or a compact apartment in the heart of the city. Simple slab doors with a recessed handle offer a sleek, seamless feel which can then be topped off with a worktop either in a complementary neutral shade or something a little more daring to add a touch of drama. The latest quartz worksurfaces for instance come in all sorts of finishes including concrete effects for an on-trend industrial look. Natural timber will also suit but it does need regular oiling to keep its organic beauty looking its best. Laminate is another option and is ideal for those working to a budget.

COUNTRY FARMHOUSE

Posted by Hayley Gilbert Monday, 11th September 2017

This month we’re looking at the enduring trend for Country Farmhouse kitchens. These classic styles are always in fashion, and they can be used to complement period properties as well as to bring charm and character to a modern new-build. Cabinetry tends to be painted or natural wood with in-frame doors that can be as simple or as detailed as you like. A fuss-free door panel offers a modern take on the Shaker style, which is a popular choice amongst homeowners looking for the perfect balance between classic and contemporary design.

Scandinavian living

Posted by Hayley Gilbert Monday, 21st August 2017

After looking at the seaside chic of Coastal Retreat last month, this time we’re all about Nordic style. Scandinavian design has long been a favourite of interior designers and architects alike and it’s renowned for its simple sophistication – clean lines, natural materials and plenty of white and wood. Rangemaster has all you need to get the look with its latest brochure, which showcases six on-trend styles for your kitchen and how to achieve a similar effect with focal point cookers as well as complementary accessories, fixtures and fittings. Take this kitchen for instance – there’s something really relaxed about this one; it avoids the fully fitted look and goes for a more eclectic approach with freestanding and mobile trolleys and units, a handy breakfast bar, timber table and fresh white surfaces with brick tiles and painted wooden flooring contrasted with a deep charcoal feature area on the wall. Add pops of colour with bold worktop accessories – chopping boards, teapots, trays, clocks, utensils and tea towels can all add personality and pizzazz to the space.
